To defend.. or not to defend

Sometimes in our life, shit happens.. a lot. And one of the shits happening is arguments between even closest friends. In most cases, one tend to want to win in arguments; even in simple one by defending one's idea. But the most powerful force is the action to defend the pride of one during arguments.

Well.. today I learn something that I hope I can apply this concept throughout my life [though I am not sure, but I'll try my best]. Leave out your pride in such a fight. I admit that it would be a tough decision to make. As if it is the sign of surrender to the opponent and allowing your friend [in which so called 'opponent' in this case] having the feeling of victory and may as well think of such a coward you are [and in some case provoking to others of your cowardly].

Well.. Let me tell you all.. If you do not take decision for peace, a greater war would come between you. So let the shame be, and peace come rather than let the pride stand still and the war goes. Do not defend your pride for war, but surrender everything for peace.

Cheers.. ^_^

Result on sem 2 got fcuk-ed up

Damn.. Result is out and very much not satisfying..
I've got only 7/15 for PFI (Programming for Internet) and 9/15 from PI (Professional Issues). Both are 2nd lower class; and for PFI, that's pretty damn close to 3rd class.

And I don't feel good know that since PFI was such a good experience learning it.. Programming in such a low level (I did the file transfer module), and still the result is disappointing.

I don't give a damn for PI anyway.. since [although I did get some lessons] I am not interested too much in it, but that's fine with me.

But anyway.. the hell with the score; the most important thing is that I've got the knowledge I wanted. That was one hell of an experience for PFI project back then.. ^_^

Bored, cough, and KFC

It's quite a boring for today.. Considering I didn't do much for today.

Read about Honeywell for a few pages, did some backup for my data to CD and my secondary partition in my laptop for photos [I'm trying to save some space ^_^] and lastly.. KFC for dinner [which is quite bad considering I'm having a cough, but the hell with it.. Hahaha..]

It's my first time trying the kari flavour; not bad but I still think the spicy was much better. Why did they have to take that out anyway?

Here is Samuel queuing for another round of kari KFC [cute eh? ^_^]

2 BPR class and a sore throat

2 sessions of BPR class today.. And lemme tell you that it's boring.
Not that the lesson is boring [well.. a bit, but not really ^_^], but it was the room's atmosphere was so warm that made me very much uncomfortable being in the class. I was literally sweating in the class.

I couldn't do any practical work given [fortunately the lecturer was quite lenient and half of the class were missing halfway the session], and I couldn't get connected to the Internet; which made me lost the mood of the day. ^_^

Well the mood was restored with CS with Wimal and Mukmin.. That was a good game by the way.. ^_^ even with the sore throat that I have been 'ehem.. ehem..' all the time since I woke up.. Haha.. ^_^

Dinner as usual today, but with all four member complete (Ahmed, Wimal, Mukmin, and myself) after 2 weeks we haven't been practically being together; plus Tsiu Weng at the Coffee Zone. Nice meals.. ^_^

Got home 10 something thinking of going straight to shower and sleep, but saw Die Hard 2 on HBO that Kasuma was watching and of course.. I can't help myself not watching it.. ^_^

Badminton

Badminton has never been so exhausting.. Literally, we played from 6 pm until 10 pm. Plus today I joined Notto for his warming up running around the court 8 times [that was killing me].

Well.. I have never been a good player in 'ANY' game I've ever played. Yeah.. From sports games to video games like Counter Strike or even DoTA. [very much embarrassing eh? ^_^]

And as for today, I had my sport.. And it was exhausting. I couldn't do anything after it.. Well I still have to deal with some songs for tomorrow fellowship since I'm gonna be the songleader.

Well.. I guess enough for the day.. I'm goin to sleep.. ^_^ [exhausted]

Bloody Siemens' un-navigatable Portal

3 weeks to submission date of JavaMasters competition and I'm stuck in the Siemens S65 emulator. And as expected that the navigation of the Siemens portal sucks. I mean.. come on.. you guys want people to develop for your phone, but why are you making it so hard to download your emulator?

And the worst thing is that I can't even download the bloody S65 emulator from the portal. It asked me to register and login to the portal to download the file, but guess what.. I can't even download even I'm logged in.

Check this out.

Halo Game and Siemens JavaMasters

Well.. It's time to play some more game.. ^_^ haha.. Halo multiplayer with Ahmed, Wimal, and Mukmin.

What a tense game.. We used a small map [can't recall the name] that everytime we're reborn, we'll definitely see someone and start shooting in less than a second.

Half way playing such a tense Halo game, my supervisor suddenly appeared behind me and wanted to talk to me. Frankly, I was shocked. His facial expression was like trying to scold me and I thought it's about my FYP. But damn.. he asked me if I could join the JavaMasters competition www.javamasters.org using my FYP, but then I would have to convert my game to Siemens S65 phone.

Well.. Hope that I can do this well..
Wish me luck.. ^_^

APIIT Blackout

Class was dismissed when blackout occured during SIP class. and the electricity came back 5 minutes after the second class were dismissed. ^_^ What a nice day.. ^_^

This picture is to celebrate the APIIT blackout.. Hahaha.. No class.. ^_^

Movie Day

Well.. I just had three movies straight in one day with Notto, Samuel, Thomas, and Kasuma [though Kasuma left after the second movie ^_^]. 16.05, 18.50, and 21.00. And let me tell you, it was tiring. Plus the second movie was not that nice anyway.

Sahara, a funny but yet quite an action movie.. I liked it. ^_^ It's like National Treasure, but I liked this more. Plus, the funny parts are damn funny.. ^_^

White Noise, about E.V.P. [Electronic Voice Phenomenon], which happen to be a true phenomenon [www.aaevp.com], but I did't really like it.. It was kind of boring and 'phenomenal' ^_^ hahaha..

Coach Carter, a family drama about a typical high school loosers who played basketball and eventually made it and it is a true story btw.

Well.. that was my day after the fellowship.. and I ended up very exhausted. ^_^
Next time two rounds would be enough for the day. ^_^

AirFighter Download

Guys.. for those who wants to test out my game, you can download it here.

Java games are very safe as they do not interfere with your phone's operating system. It runs on your phone's Java Virtual Machine; so feel free to test it on your phone and tell me if something is wrong.. ^_^

There are some known issues like the game tend to slow down when the enemy turret is rotating to point to the player's position; and sometimes it crash. ^_^

Note that this game is tested on Nokia Series 60 that has Java MIDP 2.0 support. For detail list of Nokia phone that supports MIDP 2.0, visit here.

Feedbacks are very welcomed. ^_^
Enjoy.

FYP Finished

Well it just feel good to have one big project finished.. ^_^
The presentation took exactly one hour though.. I was just talking on what I have done, and basically the presentation itself is a compression of the entire documentation.

Well at last I've got to demonstrate the game, and guess what.. it crashed.. twice.. ^_^ hahaha..
But then, it worked just fine though.
Not much question from my supervisor.. maybe it's because that he knows exactly what I have been doing.

Well.. good enough for the project.. ^_^ Feel quite satisfied.

1 day to Final Year Presentation

Well.. 20 hours to FYP and here I am.. just played Halo multiplayer.. [enjoying myself eh? ^_^]
I'm quite ready though. Some final touch of the slides, and a bit of reading on the documentation should do it.

And right now I'm at Ahmed's place just chillin around.. ^_^
Guess what.. those guys are planning to play DotA some more.. I'm thinkin of joining them after my FYP prep. ^_^

Creative MuVo Slim

Haha.. My new Creative MuVo.. At last.. my own mp3 player.. [please excuse me.. I have never owned an mp3 player before.. ^_^]

I know it's not new things.. but I just feel glad that I have one.. At least I won't be lonely travelling somewhere not doing anything.. It's just nice when I watched people listening to music when waiting something like in the bus stop or in the train. ^_^

Online @ Starbucks

Well.. here I am, at Starbucks Low Yat plaza with Wimal ^_^
Just bought myself a Creative mp3 player; not a very high end one.. 256MB is enough for me as it can store almost 4 hours of songs..
Got some DVD+Rs so that I can backup my anime files that make my harddisk really full that I don't even know where to put..
I'm trying to download the Samurai Champloo from AnimeOne [trying to be consistent in my collections.. ^_^] and going to back it up into DVD.. ^_^

6600 Restored

Haha.. at last.. my Nokia 6600 is restored..
I took it to a stall at Carrefour and left there for half an hour for them to fix that.
It cost me RM 50 and my whole contact list on that phone.. Basically, they formatted it to the last bit. :-(
Well.. at least I can still do my Final Year Project presentation with this newly formatted phone.. hehehe.. ^_^
btw, they've upgraded my Symbian firmware to 3.4.*. Previously was 3.1.*. ^_^

6600 Spoiled

Ahh.. my dear Nokia 6600 suddenly cannot start. :-(
I was typing my sms, and suddenly --- and just went off. I don't even know what happened..
Tested it with Notto's battery, still cannot work as well. And the worst thing is that, I haven't even done my final year project presentation, which requires my Nokia 6600 to run on it.
Damn.. I hope I'd find a solution to this soon.

Samurai Champloo

This is one hell of an anime.. ^_^ Cool fightings, stories, and also good laugh..
It's kind of addictied when watching this.. but then.. it's highly subjective to everyone's preference.. ^_^
Quite historical as well.. [I didn't know that Edo was the name of Tokyo at the old time]

Nothin special

Well.. here comes the boring days.. don't even know what to do.. have been playin Halo [Microsoft Game] like crazy until I got dizzy and wanted to throw up.. ^_^

Luckily I went up to the library to extend my book of Virtual Private Network with Ahmed.. and got motivated when I was in the library.. I felt like I want to read more.. Next time if I got demotivated, I should go to the library.. ^_^
