G 30 S PKI

Gerakan 30 September PKI (Indonesian Communist Party Movement on 30th September 1965) has been quite of a history and had been on the textbooks in school until 1998. This incident describes six Indonesian high military officers (senior generals) and others were assassinated by the Indonesian Communist Party (Partai Komunis Indonesia).

The Strategic Commander of the Army, Major General Soeharto at that time was said to be the hero that wiped out the Communist party and used the situation to assume power. Tens of thousands of people suspected as Communist were killed.

Despite of the research and investigation of many parties internally or externally of Indonesia and after almost 40 years, this case is still a mystery.

I disagree with melina. We should not "let it go." My father was a student at the time, may have been involved in some atrocities. Today he is a hollow, bitter man. These things hurt, and they will not stop hurting until they are revealed and atoned for properly.

A country which does not know its history does not know where it is going. I live in the United States, I am a U.S. citizen. I tell my elected officials to please, make the CIA and State Department tell the truth and apologize to the Indonesian people who suffered for so long. No answer. Because they do not respect Indonesians. Because they think Indonesians do not respect themselves.

Respect yourself! Demand the truth! Demand that the perpetrators - those that live - beg to be forgiven! And most of all, do not accept lies. Nations that accept lies will be treated as coolie nations.

The truth must be set free from the chains Suharto put on it. It must, it must, it MUST!
